ABOUT ME

H E L L O , I ' M D O N N A !
Hello, I’m Donna — a ceramicist living and working in Northern Ireland. Originally from Belfast, I now call Bangor home and create my work from a garden studio by the sea. From this small but vibrant space, I design and make a range of unique homewares, ceramic art, and porcelain jewellery.
A passion for colour, pattern, and texture runs through everything I create. My distinctive designs combine function with fun, reflecting my own personal style: antique and traditional influences with a bold contemporary twist. I’ve never been one to blend into the background, and I want my pieces to stand out too and try to imbue them with a sense of fun, creating joyful, characterful ceramics that look beautiful in your home and feel special to wear.
My work is continually evolving as I explore new ideas and sources of inspiration. You’ll often see references to my life by the sea and my love of Mediterranean colour and pattern. My blue‑and‑white serving dishes have become a signature collection, celebrating my love of hand‑painted decoration and the joy of entertaining. Food always tastes better when served from a fabulous dish.
Recently, my practice has focused heavily on process as I develop my own methods for creating ceramic collages — a vibrant mix of ceramics and contemporary printmaking. These pieces explore and highlight a range of social issues, using techniques more commonly associated with printmakers. I share much of this process on Instagram reels, and I also teach these methods through online tutorials and in‑person workshops for those interested in printing onto clay and surface‑decoration techniques.
Every piece is handmade by me, with care and intention, from start to finish in my garden studio. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my site — it genuinely means a lot.
If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
